My Weekend!!!!

I am now trying to do 1 post each week and tell what I did. I didn't do that over the weekend, here it is!

OH HOT DOGS!!!

On Friday at school we mummified hot dogs!!! :( That is a side ways frown!!! I know you are thinking this is disgusting and that's why the frown is there. Later after they age we will finish and put on the head peice. This is how you do it: first you take a hot dog and cut a slit in the middle( not in half ). Then put salt rocks in the body of the hot dog.... Eewwwwwwwwwww!!! This is really gross if you are working with a cheap greasy hot dog, but still don't get a expensive hot dog unless you plan on eating it!!!!!!!!!!! Then rap it in fabric and stuff more salt into the fabric. Then put your mummy into an envolpe and let it age for a while!!!

I am not saying you ever have to do this and I don't think you should try it.

*If you do don't eat it.

Let's Party!!!

Over the weekend I also went to a church Christmas Party. We usually have a nativity, but this year was different. We sang 3 songs and used chimes for 2 and used sign language with 1. At the party there was food and dessert. I do want to say that I ate more than my brothers did!!! There was also Santa Clause there. I took Brayden to see him!!

Well there was my weekend( well most of it).BYE!!!!!!!!!!

I know I should make an effort to blog more often, but I am so busy! Sixth Grade has really been a change for me.I can barely think ahead of time. My band teacher expects us to practice for 30MINUTES!!!!!And that's not all, 5 days a week too!And I am in an excellerated math class. Oh how I wish I could stay in my home room and go to excellerated math. To bad I can't have it both ways. Even though I wish I was in my home room, I still like my math class. We go so much faster than normal classes do.I also might make it into Honors math next year!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!! I am so excited!
Well maybe things will get better, I mean I still have the A's!!!!!!!

We went Hiking!

We went hiking yesterday! It was fun! On the way to a natual-formed rock bridge we saw the cutest dog. She was a shnoodle named Zoey! Grandma wants a shnoodle now. They are so small. They don't shed alot and they are friendly! PERFECT! We climbed on some rocks under the bridge. Then rocks got too slippery and we had to go back. I was disapionted. The other trail had been blocked off. We went to Denny's for lunch and Grandma and I had huge French toast! Well over all I had a fun time. Sorry I didn't have pictures.

Crazy Hair Day!

It was crazy hair day at school and my hair was crazy. This is what it looks like from the front. I didn't see any other kid with this style.I kind of look like George Washington.
This is what the back looks like. It has uneven braids and not matching hair bands. It looked silly having hair that went half in curlers and half braids.
Ian wanted to spray paint his hair blue. It took two showers to wash it out(after the first shower it didn't wash out all the way).

Artist in Residence

We had a choice to make a rainstick or gourd. Imade a rainstick!

This the stilt walker. It was so cool when we got to walk under him!!

I know many of you don't what I'm talking about when I say Artist in Residence. It is a school program where students learn about a culture from another country. That may not sound fun but it is. This year we learned about Africa! An African-American drummer, Mr. Johnson taught us all we needed to know about Africa. Mr. Johnson put on a preformance so we could show what we learned. All of sixth grade was in it! (It is hard to see me in the pictures.)

This is me acting a very important part of the rainforest. THE RAIN!I also got to be a bird.

Weekends Rock

I had a great weekend! On Saterday we swam in the pool to cool off. That was awesome! On Sunday we made Poppy Seed muffins (which are pretty much gone by now). Today (Monday), I got to go to my friends' house ( which I was very upset when I had to leave). I still hope I will have a even better week!

The Chronicles of Narnia Prince Caspian

I saw the new Narnia movie on Saturday! It was very cool and a little scary too. I thought that the mouse was funny. It inspired me to read all seven books! I just finished the Magician's Nephew! It explained how Narnia was made and how the Witch got into Narnia. It is a very good book.

Music

Hannah Montana is my all time favorite singer. That's why I changed the background of my blog to be HM. Miley Cyrus is cool too... I love to watch Hannah Montana on Disney Channel. A while ago I went to see Hannah Montana 3-D concert in IMAX with my friend, Moya. We sat in the third row. Me and Moya tried to touch her (in 3-D) even though we knew she wasn't really there. The concert was awesome because the Jonas Brothers sang too.

My New Haircut

I decided to get my hair cut for the summer (even though it's only spring). I like it because it is easy to brush & doesn't get knots when I swim! I also think it looks really cute.

Happy Birthday Megan!

Today is Megan's 11th birthday! She is such a sweet happy girl! Here are some fun facts about Megan you might not know:

*She loves to TALK! Sometimes she talks so much that I tell her to call one of her Grandmas because I just can't concentrate on it anymore! Luckily, it doesn't offend her at all, when I pass her off to a Grandma!

*She loves to sing. She is learning piano and flute, but she loves to sing most of all! She spends 20 minutes in the shower because she gets "distracted" singing in the shower!

*She loves to play with little kids. Megan is going to be a great babysitter! She rarely tires of playing with younger kids (unless it's her own brothers!)

*She loves to draw. Ever since she saw the Barbie movie, Rapunzel (at least 5 years ago) she has told me she is going to be an artist when she grows up. She could fill a file cabinet with all the art she's created over the years (if only I let her keep it all!)

*She prides herself on good grades - she's takes after her father - no amount of time spent on homework is too much when an "A" is at stake!

*She has the most natural RED lips you have ever seen - she can give Snow White a run for her money!

We love you Megan! Thanks for being such a wonderful part of our family! You always know how to cheer someone up who is feeling sad! WE LOVE YOU!

Disneyland

Last week, we went on a family vacation to Disneyland. We got 3 day passes for Christmas. In the car, Taylor saw my dad's text (on his cell phone) that they were coming too. Then when we got to the hotel our other cousins walked through the door - we were so excited! We didn't know they were coming - it was a big surprise!

Day 1:

Me, Ashlyn, Lyndi and Grandma hanging out on the Pirate Island together...

Lyndi wanted to get a picture with Jack Sparrow, so my mom made all of us girls go up to meet him. We were giggling so he said, "Stop giggling!" Which made us giggle even more.

This is Ashlyn, Kate, Lyndi, Taylor, Ian and me waiting for fireworks....

It snowed on Main Street after the fireworks - the snowflakes looked like bubbles!

Day 2:

We took a picture with Lightening and Mater

I promised my cousin I would go on this ride with her, even though I already knew I don't like it. It was scary, but I did it!

We took Grandma on the Zephyr while Taylor, Dad and Mom went on California Screamin'. We liked it so much, and their was no line, so they let us stay on the ride and we rode it six times in a row.

Day 3:

All six of us by Sleeping Beauty's castle

Brayden wanted to meet Mickey, until we got there and he saw the 5 foot mouse!

We were in the front, so the wind was in our face - even though I looked scared I really like this ride. My cousin, Lyndi, knows exactly when to pose for the camera! Too bad we can't see Ian, he's hiding in the back row next to my mom!

Disneyland was really fun, exciting, awesome, and crowded but, it was the highlight of our winter vacation!

Christmas

Every Christmas Eve we ride our bikes though the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights. This is a photo of me riding my bike.
On Christmas Eve my family opens pajamas to wear to bed.

For Christmas I gave my dad a basketball blanket.

Taylor made me a cool lapdesk with my name on it! I made sure to give him a big hug for that!

In my stocking I got Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix on DVD
